Welcome to Traffic Solutions Online for County of Santa Barbara Employees The County of Santa Barbara encourages employees to reduce their drive alone commuting by offering several different incentives under the Commuter Benefits / Alternative Work Schedule (AWS) programs. These commuting changes could involve commuting by transit bus, vanpool or carpool, biking or walking to work, changing your work hours so you can avoid the rush hour traffic or by working at an alternative worksite part or full-time. TS-Online provides additional program benefits such as commuter matching tools to to help find a carpool, vanpool or commuter transit bus service, the guaranteed ride home program, Curb Your Commute programs and more.
Transportation Demand Management (TDM) Benefit: When you commute to and from work by walking, cycling, transit bus or car- or vanpool you can earn up to 2 days of additional vacation each year. Pre-tax Commuter Benefit with County $10 monthly contribution: If you commute by transit bus or vanpool, this IRS qualified benefit allows you to have your commute expenses deducted from your salary on a pre-tax basis - and the County will contribute $10 monthly towards your cost. IRS Pre-tax limits are $120 per month. Free Parking for Ridesharing: If you commute to work in Santa Barbara by vanpool or carpool with at least one other County employee, the carpool group is eligible to receive a free parking pass good for the County Administration Building lot or the Garden Street lot. The driver must be a regular employee with at least 1 year of service with the County and must have the other passengers in the vehicle when they park. Parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Apply to General Services for a commuter permit.
Emergency Ride Home: If you use an alternative to driving alone at least once a week, you're eligible for the Traffic Solutions Emergency Ride Home Program. It's an incentive provided by Traffic Solutions to encourage you to take a bike, bus, carpool, vanpool, or walk to work--without the fear of being stranded.
